Taking a Closer Look at How AFC North Teams Will Fare in 2018
Who said it's too early to start thinking about the NFL? Well, its never too early for the game you love, especially if you're planning to throw your money on NFL odds. Recently, Bovada released the much-talked about win-total over/under report. We will try and look at one of the most competitive divisions, the AFC North. How many wins should we expect from Pittsburgh Steelers compared to their rivals in the division. In 2018 season, Steelers odds to win AFC North are still high with many betting platforms.
Cleveland Browns - Over/Under Five wins
For the purpose of this discussion, 5 1/2 if you're to bet the over, it would mean Cleveland is likely to win 6 games. However, many would say, you're likely to hit by a lightning bolt than you would see Cleveland Brown winning 6 NFL games this season. With the current look of things, one win is highly likely and Not six! That doesn't mean its impossible. The Eagles, Jaguars and Rams did it in 2017 season. But, lets face it - we are talking about the Browns. We all agree they have made some improvements in different areas, but one big question still remain unanswered - How will they perform under Tyrod Taylor? Most people believe the best they can do is 3 or 4 wins at most.
Cincinnati Bengal - Over/Under Six wins
Lets add a half-win and that would mean the Bengals will go to 7-9 if you're to cash in for over 6 1/2. Well, that's where they were last year. Bovada's odds have set it at - 150 to go beyond 6. So far, this is among the highest gaps we have in the board. That means, they believe a huge number of fans will go beyond six. There are higher chances of this team doing well this season after addressing a hole that was at the center by bringing in Billy Price. Another great move was picking Jessie Bates III and Malik Jefferson. However, we don't know yet how these changes will improve the team this season. We can comfortably go for 7 or 8 games win.
Baltimore Ravens - Over/Under Eight wins
To be honest, this is a tough one. This time round the Ravens have done a lot to improve their passing game. The team acquired John Brown and Michael Crabtree. They also drafted two of their players in the tight ends and now they have Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst. The team also brought in Orlando Brown to help in pass blocking. When it comes to betting, it will all depend on how Baltimore will start the season. The Ravens will encounter the Steelers within the first 5 weeks, however, they are favored to win against Buffalo, Browns, Cincy and Broncos. We will peg them for 8 at most. In case you want to slide it up by half to 8 1/2, you should go under and stay in the wiggle room.
Pittsburgh Steelers - Over/Under Ten wins
Most people agree that Steelers will clinch the AFC North title, even though they're likely to lose 2 or 3 games in their regular-season. We expect continuity from this team with a few setbacks, but will continue to improve as the 2018 season progress. Many are still waiting to see Le'Veon Bell report, which was an issue last year. Their schedule might have challenges in the coming weeks but they'll get out these hiccups early. We believe steelers will make a 10 - 11 win, which is good enough to lift the divisional title. However, their super talented player Ben Roethlisberger needs to be fit all year for this to happen. Le'veon must be present by week 1. With all these possibilities, we set prediction line at 10 1/2.
